The strategic plan 2025-2028 of the Intercontinental Guadalupan Novena, starts up the initiative “One Tilma, One Heart”, a Guadalupan itinerary supported by the pedagogy of encounter that our Lady of Guadalupe taught us through her image captured in the Tilma of Saint Juan Diego.

This initiative begins with a presentation of a majestic replica of the Holy Tilma of Saint Juan Diego to all the Dioceses of Mexico, through the Bishops assembled during the CXVIII Plenary Assembly. In that way, every Bishop becomes the first messenger and missionary disciple of Guadalupe, with the episcopal engagement of enthroning the image in the main shrines, basilicas or Guadalupan churches of each diocese.

The holy image will not remain static, it will be a pilgrim presence which will travel through every parish in Mexico, bringing the maternal message of Our Lady of Guadalupe to every corner of our nation. Such as in that first encounter with Juan Diego on the Tepeyac, this pilgrim Tilma seeks to reach out to every community, every family, and every Mexican heart, renewing the hope and strengthening our identity as a people loved by the Mother of God.

This national pilgrimage invites us all to open the doors of our communities and our hearts to experience Mary’s maternal tenderness as she says to us, just as she said to Juan Diego: “Am I not here, I who am your mother?”. The Pilgrimage of the Tilma is a special opportunity to renew our faith, strengthen our community bonds, and rediscover the message of love, dignity, and hope that our Morenita del Tepeyac continues to proclaim to Mexico and the entire world.
